Pink Spot Ladybird Beetle

There are many different sorts of ladybugs, or ladybirds, in the United States, and the native ones can be hard to find. I am happy to announce we spotted our first pink spot ladybird beetle in our garden.
After snapping a couple pictures and putting the camera away we found some more good news: ladybug larvae. The larvae were found within 2 feet of where this little guy was, so we are hoping that the native population is alive and well, at least in our corner of Pennsylvania.
