When we ship, how your nematodes travel, and what to do when the box arrives. Shipping is free on every order.
Beneficial nematodes are alive, so we ship them on a schedule that gets them to you quickly and keeps them healthy on the way.

Order Thursday–Sunday? It ships Monday. Orders placed after the cutoff on a ship day go out the next ship day; after the cutoff on Wednesday, the following Monday.
When we ship
We ship Monday through Wednesday only. That way your nematodes are never stuck in a warehouse or a truck over a weekend. We also don't ship when a UPS holiday falls on the ship day or the 2 days after it, so your box is never held up by a holiday. For example, in Thanksgiving week we ship on Monday only. The ship date above already accounts for this.
Orders over 10 units ship for next-day delivery.
Where we ship
We ship every product to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. We can't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or military APO/FPO addresses. Some of our nematodes can't be shipped to places like Hawaii and Puerto Rico, and free shipping that far isn't practical.
How it's packed
Your nematodes travel in an insulated box with a cold pack. We've tested our packing to keep them alive for more than 92 hours, even at 100°F, and your order is delivered within 2 business days.
A thawed cold pack is normal. It doesn't affect your nematodes. They're soil organisms and handle this range of temperatures naturally.
When your box arrives
Bring it inside
Open it right away. Don't leave it in the sun or a hot car.
Refrigerate at 35–50°F
A normal refrigerator, until you're ready to use them.
Never freeze
Freezing kills nematodes.
Use by the date on the package
How long they keep depends on the product and size.
Each package is marked with a use-by date:

Because our sprays have a fairly short shelf life even in the refrigerator, it's best to order them within a few weeks of when you plan to apply. Topdressings keep much longer. When you're ready, see How to apply, which also has tips for hot weather.
